Masudur Rahman, born in Bakerganj, Barisal, is a Bangladeshi artist known for his evocative paintings that explore the interconnectedness of humanity and the cosmos. His artistic journey began with poetry, which laid the foundation for his visual art practice. Seeking to deepen his understanding and expression, Masudur pursued formal education at the Department of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, specializing in Oriental Art. After completing his Honors and Master’s degrees, he committed himself to a full-time career in art. His work often centers around human expression, desire, and the pursuit of dreams, using nature as a profound metaphor. Through his art, Rahman endeavors to capture the vastness of the universe within the human experience. His second solo exhibition, Journey of Cosmos, is scheduled for September 2024 at Alliance Française de Dhaka, following his debut solo exhibition, Cosmic Cadence, in October 2023 at Dwip Gallery, Dhaka.
